VeriCam System

The VeriCam System (VCS) was designed to reduce undetected production problems using time or product based freeze-frame image sampling or manual operation. The VCS is a compact and cost sensitive stand-alone industrial quality assurance system that can be installed on production equipment where line speeds make visual inspection difficult or impossible.

Applications

  • Viewing inkjet printing at mail table, opening station, or at the pocket.

  • Verification of product component matching for mailing, inserting and gaming.

  • Packaging lines where codes are printed in difficult to read areas.

  • Production lines operating at high speeds over long distances.

  • Viewing high speed manufacturing processes.

Hardware

  • Computer system with custom developed software.

  • Compact CCD monochrome camera.

  • Camera lighting.

  • Product detect photocell.

  • Necessary cables for operation (standard length).

Features

  • Capture at up to 10 images/sec. and up to 100 ft./sec. with less than 1/8" image skew.

  • Control of image refresh frequency by:
    - Product count
    - Time interval
    - Manual operation

  • One-up, two-up, four-up and twelve-up image capture display.

  • One-up, two-up, four-up and twelve-up image capture display.

  • Automatically switches to graphics mode from setup mode.

  • Automatically switches to graphics mode from setup mode.

  • Audible beep when image is refreshed.

  • Time and date stamped and sequence numbered images are saved on the hard drive for archival purposes independent of visual image refresh interval.

Options

  • Archival to magnetic tape, Zip drive or Jaz drive. Retrieval of images via time and date stamp or sequence number reference information.

  • Multiple camera image display for product matching applications. Requires upgraded computer system.

  • Burst Mode for sequential capture and viewing of images. Number of images and interval user definable. Requires upgraded computer system.

  • Multiple monitor outputs for simultaneous remote location image viewing.

  • Custom development.
